SENTINEL

The city writes against your buildings every day. Sentinel reads what it writes.

Violations, complaints, permits and the orders that stop work — matched to your building and put in front of the people who have to answer for them, the day they land. Not a keyword alert on a company name, and not a report someone has to remember to pull.

WHAT SENTINEL WATCHES

Every source below is read against your building, not a keyword search. Each one is switched on or off by you, for the whole company or for a single project.

  • DOB

Violations, ECB violations, complaints and their dispositions — including stop work orders, vacate orders and unsafe-condition orders

A stop work order is read off the disposition history hour by hour, and a partial rescission is still an order in force.

  • FDNY

Bureau of Fire Prevention violation orders, read from FDNY Business

An order is served before any summons is written, and the city publishes it in no open data feed at all.

  • HPD

Violations with their correction and certification deadlines, tenant complaints, vacate orders and emergency repair charges

Occupied buildings carry an enforcement stream of their own, and HPD bills the owner for repairs it makes itself.

  • OATH

Hearings and summonses written against the site or the companies working on it, with penalties and outcomes

This is where a citation becomes a hearing date and a dollar figure — carrying FDNY, DOT, DEP, DSNY, DOHMH, NYPD and Landmarks alongside DOB.

  • DOT

Street construction permits, their renewals, and the corrective actions and notices its inspectors write against them

Sheds, containers and roadway occupancy expire on their own schedule, not the job’s.

  • 311

Complaints logged against the site’s address

A neighbour’s call is often the first warning an inspector is on the way.

TALK TO SALES

Tell us which buildings you are responsible for and we will show you what the city already holds against them. If Sentinel is already on your account, we will help you choose which agencies to switch on.
